An intense fire ripped through the White Rose Linen Supply Co. at 419 Third Street early on Saturday morning. They’re still investigating the cause of the fire, but definitely check out Mike McNamara’s incredible photos on his site here.

Three-alarm fire in Downtown Jersey City sends 1 firefighter to hospital

One firefighter suffered minor injuries while fighting a three-alarm fire that broke on 3rd street around 2 a.m. this morning, said Jersey City Fire Director Armando Roman.

Firefighters were at the scene at 417 3rd St by Merseles Street when one-third of the roof collapsed.

Firefighters were removed from part of the building and continued to fight the blaze until it was contained an hour later.

The injured firefighter was taken from the scene and brought to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.

It is still unclear at this time what started the fire.

No other injuries were reported.
