Guest: Susan Newman, Founder, Frogs Are Green

Susan Newman, founder of Frogs Are Green is partnering with local curators and teachers at The Distillery Gallery and Artspace to exhibit 100s of artworks received from children around the world as part of their Green Dream initiative. The International Children’s Earth Day Exhibition runs through the month of April, and we’re excited to have Susan at our meeting to hear all about it.

NEW TRASH & GRAFFITI COMMITTEE FORMING!

  • Officially launching in May, we are excited to share some early details about our new committee.

REDEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE UPDATES:

  • 377 Fourth Street: This project goes before the zoning board on April 17th, so please join us to get a view of the revised plans. Find out how the VNA is working with the developer and Division of Planning to ensure the project is right for the Village, and what you can do to help.

QUALITY OF LIFE COMMITTEE UPDATES:

  • Captain’s Meeting review and latest crime statistics presented.

BUSINESS COMMITTEE UPDATES:

  • For over 100 years, small businesses have played a vital role in shaping the Village. The Village Neighborhood Association is committed to bringing awareness and support to those businesses that embrace the long-standing values and enduring community spirit of our neighborhood.
  • Learn more about the steps the VNA is taking to help promote Village businesses including the ongoing Village Business Spotlight campaign.

4TH STREET ARTS – 5TH ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF FUNDRAISER:

  • 4TH Street Arts Founder and VNA board member Mike McNamara will share all the details.
