Updated: Boil Water Advisory – Lifted

United Water advises that the precautionary boil water advisory in Jersey City has been lifted. It is no longer necessary for customers in Jersey City to boil their water.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection reviewed laboratory data from water samples taken throughout the city and agreed that the boil water advisory could be lifted.
Tests confirmed that the water met safety standards while a 24-inch transmission main was being repaired.
